Dr. Diptangshu Das is an esteemed Assistant Professor at K.P.C Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata. He completed his M.B.B.S and M.S in General Surgery from Kolkata, where he was a Gold Medalist. Dr. Das further honed his skills through an Observership in Colorectal and HPB Oncological Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), Mumbai. He is a specialist in Perianal Surgeries and Laser Proctology. To advance his expertise, he also pursued a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Fortis Healthcare, Manesar, Gurgaon, where he received comprehensive training in cancer surgeries.
Dr. Das is a distinguished member of several prestigious medical associations, reflecting his active engagement in the surgical community. He is a Life Member of The Association of Colon & Rectal Surgeons of India (ACRSI), demonstrating his dedication to the science and practice of colorectal surgery. He is also a Life Member of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI), highlighting his commitment to advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, and a Life Member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), reflecting his strong professional standing. Furthermore, he holds Life Membership in the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES), reflecting his involvement in gastrointestinal surgery.
In recognition of his expertise in minimally invasive and gastrointestinal procedures, Dr. Das has earned several prestigious fellowships. He obtained the FMAS (Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery) from The Medicity, Gurugram, New Delhi, in 2022, followed by FIAGES (Fellowship of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons) in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, in 2024, and a Fellowship in GI Endoscopy (FGIE).
Adding to these achievements, Dr. Das has successfully completed the Fellowship Examination of The Association of Colon & Rectal Surgeons of India (ACRSI), held in March 2026, and has been awarded the prestigious FACRSI – Fellowship of the Association of Colon & Rectal Surgeons of India. The fellowship certificate was formally issued on 18 September 2026. This qualification further reflects his specialized expertise and professional engagement in colorectal and rectal surgery.
He has also been conferred Membership in the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), acknowledging his commitment to advancing the science, education, and practice of cancer surgery.
Adding to his professional achievements, the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO) admitted Dr. Das as a Life Member (IASO No. D0122) on August 30, 2025, a recognition conferred by Dr. Sharad Desai (President) and Dr. Rudra P. Acharya (Secretary).
